We are seeking Travel Consultants who possess a strong passion for travel. Your main responsibilities will involve promoting and arranging travel accommodations for both individual clients and corporate customers. The ultimate objective is to ensure their satisfaction, build a loyal client base, and fulfill their travel aspirations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A TRAVEL CONSULTANT

  • Provide travel-related information and guidance to both current and potential customers.
  • Source and arrange the best available options for our clients’ travel needs.
  • Offer travel tips and advice to ensure a smooth travel experience for clients.
  • Conduct research on various destinations, including transportation options, airlines, fares, travel documents, customs, weather conditions, and reviews.
  • Understand clients’ preferences and requirements and suggest appropriate travel services.
  • Address unexpected issues and complaints, assessing eligibility for refunds or compensation.
  • Maintain electronic records of clients, ensuring accuracy and updates.
  • Prepare regular reports, both written and computerized, as required.
  • Achieve sales goals set by the company.
  • Respond promptly, professionally, and courteously to all incoming calls and emails.
  • Stay updated on airline regulations, airfares, and industry requirements.
  • Make alternative arrangements if changes arise before or during the trip
  • Utilize up-to-date information to make necessary travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate with the Tours department in all Travel related enquiries.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Travel Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Travel Operations/Tourism Management from either Kenya Utalii College, The University of Nairobi, or Strathmore University.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Travel and Tourism industry, except for Interns.
  • Excellent proficiency in using travel software such as computer reservations systems, GDS systems (Must have knowledge of both Galileo and Amadeus), and e-travel platforms.
  • Must hold an IATA Certification.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, while knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
  • Strong sales skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Well-versed in various aspects of travel, including domestic and international destinations, business and leisure travel, and group and individual arrangements.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations, persuade others, and communicate clearly.
  • Preference given to candidates with personal travel experience.

DESTINATION MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Prepare and translate detailed itineraries for clients, ensuring that all travel arrangements are executed according to the planned program.
  • Conduct research and development to create engaging tour packages that cater to market demand.
  • Identify and explore new business opportunities in the travel industry.
  • Develop and market innovative tour packages, both domestically and internationally, to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate and make bookings for inbound and outbound tours.
  • Assist in devising effective marketing strategies to promote the company and increase sales.
  • Handle inquiries related to both inbound and outbound travel.
  • Contribute to writing and dispatching email marketing campaigns, as well as engaging in social media promotion and brand awareness initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports, both written and computerized, as required.
  • Achieve sales goals set by the company.
  • Respond promptly, professionally, and courteously to all incoming calls.
  • Coordinate with the Travel Department in handling all Tours-related requests.
  • Occasionally accompany travel groups or provide meet and assist services to clients, if required.

FRONT OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR / CUSTOMER SERVICE

Front office administrators serve as the representatives of the company, ensuring a professional and courteous welcome to all visitors and taking care of their needs.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Warmly welcome and register all visitors at the reception area.
  • Manage the switchboard, ensuring calls are directed to the appropriate extensions.
  • Regularly check and organize emails.
  • Maintain an inventory of office supplies and ensure they are consistently replenished.
  • Prepare reports and diligently maintain records and a visitors’ logbook.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient filing system for all necessary documents.
  • Handle inquiries and address any complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and important events.
  • Assist with copying, scanning, and filing various documents.
  • Type and prepare documents as needed.
  • Process incoming mail and distribute outgoing mail.
  • Coordinate with the Travel and Tour Departments to facilitate travel arrangements and provide administrative support to other departments as required.
  • Undertake any additional duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of a recognized Degree or Diploma in Applied Sciences, Administrative and Management Studies, or Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in customer service, specifically as a receptionist, front desk representative, or in a similar role, supported by reference letters.
  • Proficiency in operating office machinery such as printers and fax machines.
  • Basic computer knowledge, particularly in MS Office and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent proficiency in English is required, while additional language skills are advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER & SALES EXECUTIVE

The Sales Executive will collaborate with and receive guidance from the Business Development Manager, resulting in shared duties and responsibilities between them, as well as tasks assigned by the Business Development Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Business Development Manager holds the responsibility for driving business development efforts, which includes managing key accounts, conducting market research to identify and expand into new travel destinations, prospecting for potential customers, and meeting sales targets.
  • Additionally, the Business Development Manager oversees the management of business resources, including personnel and internal assets. This role requires resourcefulness and analytical skills to lead teams and make independent business decisions.
  • Foster strong internal relationships with support functions, promoting a collaborative approach across the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between support services, tour operators, and members, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
  • Take charge of raising awareness about the company within the travel industry, utilizing social media platforms.
  • Plan and execute marketing activities and strategies, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals.

  • Represent the business at industry events to enhance its presence and networking opportunities.

  • As an IT Technical Support Officer, your responsibilities will include the installation and configuration of computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software issues, and resolving technical and application problems.
  • Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and maximizing user benefits.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications will be part of your duties.
